I’m moving right now, and exhausted. (Why does moving always happen when it’s hot and/or raining?!) So, bits from the last week:

Lucinda’s party last Saturday was so much fun! I can’t believe it was over a week ago though! It was one of the busier parties We’ve had. There were a number of new subs, but some familiar faces that I hadn’t seen in a while showed up, so I was well pleased with the mix. I had fun pouring wax and ice over two subs at once. :)

Tuesday I went to Karaoke Night at Roscoe’s with some of My friends and nearly everyone there was impressively good! Now, where’s the fun in that?! Thank god someone did the worst rendition of Iris ever, and saved the night! Really though, I’d forgotten how much I love karaoke! I have a machine back at My mom’s house with what are now horribly out of date discs, but this made Me seriously want to revive it.

I discovered the hilarious YouCondoms and oh my god, I want some with My face on them! I would give them out instead of business cards!

I’ve been bad about posting – I’m in the middle of moving, among other things, but holy shit! My mom’s store just got hit by lightening and went up in flames and she only just got out! I’m so shaken up right now! If My place got hit by lightening, I think the worst part would be I don’t know if I could get My cat on time. I have the cat carrier right next to the bed just in case.

Oh my god, I’m so sick right now! I just want to eat sherbet to make my throat feel better and read.

Other things are going well though. I won a writing award for a piece I’d been working on for quite some time and the dress is going slowly but surely and looks beautiful.  I went to the Amanda Palmer concert on Wednesday, which kicked ass. She’s so fierce! I love that she’s married to Neil Gaiman. Anyway, it was a good excuse to wear a fabulously hot circuit-board print latex top I just got. Give Me a call if you want to come see it! (Just wait a couple of days until I don’t feel like death warmed over.)
