Just a reminder that tomorrow night is our monthly PLAY PARTY.
WHAT TO EXPECT: For those who don’t know what that means… You arrive and are greeted by the lovely Priestesses of Holy Mountain. You can have a snack and a drink and chat. Enjoy the home-like atmosphere. You are allowed to roam free and examine and try out all of our toys and equipment, and, if you get up the courage, play with the Dommes with whom you click.
Often you’ll see or get involved with spanking, impact play, cross-dressing, foot worship or domestic servitude. On really creative nights someone might end up suspended in the bondage bed, or playing with electricity, or completely mummified and deprived of their senses. We’re pretty much open to anything. The only thing that is not allowed is good old fashioned sex!
Most of all, it’s a casual, relaxed atmosphere where you can have a good time and get to know some very kinky friendly Ladies. We also welcome couples to come in and explore.
HOW TO DRESS: You are welcome to dress up in fetish gear or cross-dressing outfits at the party. You’re welcome to walk around in nothing at all, or in slacks and a button up shirt. Come as you are or as you want to be – however you feel comfortable.
BYOB: You’re welcome to bring alcoholic beverages, but no red wine (it stains and we have expensive rugs!). Just don’t over-do it. Anyone inappropriately wasted will be asked to leave. Play safely and sanely!
DONATION: The $50 donation is to cover the cost of the party as well as keep Holy Mountain up and running for another month. I have to stress that there are no services offered for pay at the party. Everyone there is there to meet and have fun, but the donation doesn’t guarantee you get to play with anyone. Chances are you’ll find many people willing to play, but technically you’re not paying for that. You’re just helping us keep the space alive.
RSVP: You MUST RSVP to attend these private parties. There is a strict guest list, and we need to know that you’re coming. NO ONE gets in without being on the list. If you’ve been to a Kinky Arts event before, you’re IN! You’re already our friend and just need to e-mail and let us know you’re coming. Or if you’ve had sessions with any of the Dommes who rent Holy Mountain, you’re also a-ok with us.
If we’ve never met you we’ll need to check you out – a reference from a Domme we have met serves that purpose well. If you don’t have a reference, that’ ok too. You can get in with our friends over at http://roomservice2000.com. We trust them, and a membership with their web site gets you access to our parties and private events and makes it super quick and easy to set up appointments with Pro Dommes! Just sign up and send us your membership verification info! You’ll find being RS2K verified makes your life very very easy.
WHERE IS IT? WHEN DO I GET THE ADDRESS?: The address is sent to you privately via e-mail on the day of the party, after you’ve RSVP’d and been verified.

Join us for our second play party to celebrate the end of another long Chicago winter (because you just can’t celebrate that enough), and the end of Tax Season! Relax and explore with some of the most laid back Dommes in Chicago!
Hang out with a dozen or so of Holy Mountain’s lovely Priestesses of BDSM, and get a chance to play and serve! All experience levels are welcome! Guests are encouraged to try out the equipment, tools and toys with the help of the beautiful and skilled Ladies who rent the space. The Domme to sub ratio is usually 1:1! It is an outstanding opportunity to experiment in a fun and friendly atmosphere. We’re all very welcoming here. Couples are also encouraged to attend.
Dress is nice but casual, or fetishy, or nothing at all! The Ladies tend to dress up.
Light snacks and tea and coffee are provided, and guests can BYOB (NO RED WINE PLEASE).
Requested donation is $50 (in advance or cash at the door). Femme Dommes get in free with a paying sub.
Guests are encouraged to continue their evening after 11:00pm at a late night party held a dungeon down the street. But you have to RSVP for the after party by Friday! (contact for details)

Join us this Saturday to welcome Persephone from the depths of Hades, and to celebrate to end of another long Chicago winter.

Holy Mountain is a woman owned and run studio for BDSM (bondage discipline/ dominance submission/ sadomasochism) located in the West Loop. For the first time since its inception in September 2008, it is opening its doors to the public for a premiere art exhibition. This debut event will feature the work of the many women who rent the space for Pro Domination.
Carnival of Curiosity is intended to bring a new audience into an environment they might not otherwise explore, and to showcase the talents of a collective of Pro Dominas who already contribute to Chicago’s artistic zeitgeist in their own ways. The overall tone is bold, celebratory and unabashed with a few very challenging works in the mix.
On the walls you’ll see the photography of Mistress Kit (right), the “official” photographer of Holy Mountain who attends events and forms artist/muse relationships with the lovely ladies who frequent the space. Her work is reminiscent of 1970s candids, printed in black and white with an air of voyeuristic titillation.
Also featured are paintings by Mistress Yani (above left). Her busy mural-like works on paper look like they are taunting the viewer with bright neon colors and graffiti splashes of metallic paint. Bouncing naked clown-face characters emerge from jazzy chaos.
Continuing the playful mood Miss Panic’s paintings on wood and canvas burst with electric blues and hot pinks. Human (or human-like) faces greet the viewer with poppy confidence.
Quietest among the works on paper, but also the most detailed, are Mistress Vashti’s large drawings. “No Moonlight” (pictured left) has an eerie glow and “3 Moons” is lush and tactile.
In the 3D realm, Lil’ Princess (featured on Jerry Springer for her clown sex fetish) charms us with sparkling sequins, googly-eyes, and ruffles, toying with the idea of “fetish” in the original sense of the word. Her eight dolls are reminiscent of the works of Haitian artists such as Peirrot Barra. Their plastic heads sit atop elaborate dresses – little goddess-like figures adorned with pills, tiny babies, logos, flowers and cigarettes. 
Much of the art in Carnival of Curiosity is wearable. Mistress Alice takes mad millinery to new levels, and aynia expresses her inner demons through hand-crafted masks. Mistress Deliya carefully crochets bondage items such as arm binders, hoods, and (ahem)“package” cozies. And though not wearable, Mistress Alice’s drawings based upon outlandish costume designs (left) certainly command attention. 
Some of the artwork will be utterly edible. A giant delectable human birthday cake will fill one corner of the main playroom as the performers of Cabaret of the Nameless (pictured below right) splosh themselves into a giant heap of sexy sugar sweetness. Other pastries and vegan baked goods will be available to sample and purchase as well.
The carnivorous side of carnival is covered by Mistress Lucinda’s Meat Market series – an aesthetically intriguing group of photographs taken on the streets of Safi in Morocco. She also takes a stab at the carnal with her porno collage series and the challenging humor of her Baby Book, which combines images of infant innocence with fully erect man meat.
For those with a love for the literary, Lily Hex (a.k.a. Evil Tart) will release her new book, a hardback edition of poetry and short stories about lovers. Holy Mountain founder Kristie Alshaibi will also have some of her own art available for sale, including a collaborative book made with her husband Usama. A History of Flying Vaginas is a stencilprinted limited edition written in the form of a children’s book.
And finally Holy Mountain will be celebrating the Pre-Release of its first DVD compilation, Solar Anus Cinema, short films by Usama Alshaibi. Alshaibi has been called the “contemporary master of transgressive cinema” and some of the films on the DVD feature the Priestesses of Holy Mountain. Copies will be available for purchase at the opening reception.
